The route
We depart from Portimão and cruise east along the Lagoa coastline. Along the way we pass lesser-known beaches and caves — Praia da Marinha, Albandeira and other unique rock formations — before reaching the iconic Benagil Cave with its famous natural skylight. We return along the coast with plenty of time for photos.

Does the boat go inside Benagil Cave?
Yes, whenever sea conditions allow. On days with strong swell, entering may not be possible for safety reasons — in that case we get as close as possible for photos.
Can we land on the beach inside the cave?
No. Since 2023, landing on the cave beach is prohibited by law for all vessels. A boat tour remains the best way to see the cave from the inside.
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome. We provide child-sized life jackets and the safety briefing is given before departure.
I get seasick easily — is this a problem?
The tour follows the coastline where the sea is usually calmer. If you're sensitive to motion sickness, we recommend taking preventive medication 30 minutes before departure.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, you can reschedule free of charge or receive a full refund.
